Laina attained her bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Resource at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and earned a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at St. Mary’s University – San Antonio.  Mrs. Schonefeld spent three years developing valuable financial experience in the stock brokerage business and three years in sales and marketing in the medical field. Before opening BPR in 2009 she spent 13 years as a Hospital Administrator at a veterinary hospital. Laina’s commitment to bring the highest standards to the pet industry is apparent as she is a founding board member of the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC), the first organization in the business to bring third party certification to the industry.  She is also a long-standing member of the International Boarding and Pet Services Association (IBPSA). Laina has also served on the board of the local Animal Control in Corpus Christi and is a member of WIPIN (Women in the Pet Industry Network).
