I offer something no other Reiki practitioner in the boarding world offers.

It is called the Shared Connection Method™.

When a pet is boarding and their owner is away, I connect the two of them in one live Reiki session, at the same time, from two different places.

HOW IT WORKS

- The pet stays where they are, in their suite or kennel, resting

- A camera is aimed at them

- The owner joins from wherever they happen to be, a hotel room, an airport, a conference room between meetings

- All three of us are connected at once for forty-five minutes

- I offer Reiki to both the pet and their owner simultaneously

WHAT REIKI ACTUALLY DOES

Reiki is a quiet practice that works with the life force energy already present in every living thing. Nothing is sent, and nothing is done to anyone. The session creates a settled environment, and the animal takes what they need from it in their own time.

In practice it looks like a nervous system standing down.

- Breathing slows

- Muscles let go

- Many animals fall asleep

It is the same restoration that happens in deep sleep, made available on purpose.

For a pet in an unfamiliar place, that is a real difference in how the stay feels.

For the owner, it is the first time being far away has ever felt like anything other than helplessness. It provides true connection and peace of mind.

Almost all animal Reiki works with the pet alone. Separation anxiety runs both directions.

The pet feels the absence. The owner hides the suitcase, then carries the dread and the guilt onto the plane. Many shorten their travel plans because of it. Some skip the trip altogether.

Facilities have always had something to offer the pet. This is the first thing they can offer the person.
