Full Time Bather – aspiring groomer! McKinney, TX

If you are an animal lover, kind, patient, and really care about not only making dogs look fantastic but keeping them healthy too, we are looking for you. You will lead our bathing department and help build it into a full-blown grooming facility. After six months of proving you have what it takes, we will pay you to attend grooming school at our expense. We will pay you to become a groomer/stylist. Did you know that pet grooming is a skilled profession and you can earn $80,000+ per year once you’re properly trained?

*If you've just recently completed grooming school, let's talk. We could do tuition reimbursement instead.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide basic grooming services to guests. This will include shampoo, condition, dry, brush, toenail trim, ear cleaning, etc.
• Be responsible for providing "go-home" baths for boarding guests
• Follow the daily bathing schedule.
• Properly secure and reassure the pets to ensure optimal safety and comfort.
• Work inside in a heated with high humidity area, with loud background noise from the dryers.

Requirements include:

• Able to handle a variety of animals safely and comfortably.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to bend, crouch, stoop and have full use of both hands to properly secure the animals.
• Positive attitude and strong desire to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $15.00 per hour
